● SnailNet is a two part system.

-Search engine:

The search engine function allows basic internet usage. This includes multiple world information, not all of which is accurate or useful. First aid? Basic shopping? Random information about a recipe, a story, some dumb videos to enjoy? Sure!

Secretive information is another issue entirely though. While your character might be able to find out some random information on something important, a dark secret on someone, or information on something long hidden, it's just as likely it'll be false. And the network goes down from time to time anyway, as factions in control struggle to keep that sort of thing offline.

-Network:
Save for individual phone calls made privately, and sometimes even then if there's a den-den error, all posts go to a Network of information. Videos, texts, audio, it's all listed and available whether your character particularly likes it or not. The new SmartSnails all tie into this network for information, it's not avoidable.

Bonus: The Network is a flaw in the new SmartSnail system, it was an intended setting for the World Government to use for easy mass communications among select SmartSnails.

●Usernames

It is now possible to have your character change their read username. Unless they obscure/alter their coding, their actual name will still appear in the contact information still.

●Identity and obscuring.

-The new update allows a new program, called OBSCURE.

This allows the characters to hide their information, their usernames, and location. However, it's a faulty program and doesn't work well. It's best to use this with the knowledge that it might fail at some point. Restarting the SmartSnail phone will usually fix this error.

● Filtering

Filtering is a risky issue.

-Private to an individual:
This is the option with the highest success rate, and rarely fails or ends up as an open network post. Errors can still happen for plot/fun, but it's not as likely.

-Private to a small group:
This is even higher of a risk than the individual interactions on the SmartSnail, and ups the likelihood of errors, including being exposed on the network.

●Security options:

Using the app provided by the Revolutionary Army prevents a user's SmartSnail from being tracked while using the TRAVERSE option. Not using the app makes a user subject to potential tracking every time they use this method of transportation. However, errors in the app are still possible at player discretion, allowing characters to be tracked regardless

●Misfires/Errors/Security errors:

-Transporter errors:

It's still absolutely possible to be tracked, to end up in the wrong area, or to accidentally transport. Use this as you see fit!

-Accidental video error:

Sometimes your SmartSnail will just film and randomly post. This is an error caused by the amount of updates and patches to the SmartSnail system and SnailNet. It's not a constant error but it's possible.

-General security errors:

This will alter security settings. It's the most common error of the system.
